Why Sisel Owns Its Own Facility

Most companies in the health and wellness space don’t manufacture their own products – they order from a third-party contract manufacturer and put their name on the label. Sisel does the opposite. Every batch of raw material goes through quality checks before it’s approved for use, and then again through a separate on-site lab, which runs a full panel of testing on every ingredient:

• Purity analysis – confirming the ingredient is genuinely what it claims to be
• Chemical analysis – verifying the material matches exactly what was ordered before it goes into a formula

From Raw Material to Finished Product

Raw materials arrive by the truckload and are sorted and stored before active ingredients are moved into a quarantined area for testing and verification. Once cleared, ingredients move into production – powders are blended in large industrial mixers, liquids are combined and processed in vats holding thousands of gallons, capable of heating, chilling, and agitating a batch depending on what the formula calls for.

Some ingredients go through more specialised processing – Sisel’s fucoidan extraction, for example, uses a high-pressure system to convert raw seaweed into a liquid, then into a powder, and back into a liquid again, refining it at each stage. Once a formula is ready, bottles are sanitised, filled, sealed, capped, and coded, then labelled, boxed, and palletised – much of it automated, with lines capable of filling hundreds of bottles a minute.
