My thoughts are with everyone impacted by the Modere shut down – distributors, customers, and employees alike.
For many, the connection went deeper than just Modere; it traced back to the original Mower Mission. This mission, started years ago by Tom Mower Senior and his son Tom Mower Junior, was born from a crucial realisation: many potentially harmful industrial chemical ingredients were also common in everyday personal care products. They set out to do better.
Their goal was simple yet profound: create clean, safe, effective alternatives and control the manufacturing process from start to finish. This commitment to quality and safety, avoiding harmful ingredients, and ensuring product integrity is what originally drew me – and likely you, too – to this path. It was about making genuinely better choices for our families’ health and wellbeing. The Modere shut down doesn’t erase the importance of that mission.
In fact, that original Mower Mission is alive and well.
As Tom Mower Jr. himself recently expressed (offering valuable perspective during this transition), the name on the door might change, but the core principles remain steadfast. People still want and deserve clean, safe products they can trust, made by a company that controls its quality from concept to consumer.
