5 Tips to Build a Massive Network Marketing Business
Today I was interviewed by an organisation called Network Marketing Australia. I shared the following 5 tips to build a massive network marketing business.
Tip 1. Discover a free book that will help you develop the perfect script
Kim Klaver has a brilliant book called “If my product’s so great how come I can’t sell it”. You can do a search for “If My Product’s So Great How Come I Can’t Sell It by Kim Klaver pdf”
She has been in the industry for 25 years and has built 3 MLM business to the top. She really knows her stuff. She steers away from seller talk and really has a focus on attraction marketing and using scripts in a way so you never feel rejected.
Her book is really perfect for someone who needs a script that is customised to before and after. Becoming skilled at talking to people in the most effective way is critical in our industry. We often think that everyone wants our product because we love it so much. The truth is only 1 of 10 people want it. Kim is big on calling those that are interested and not approaching the 9 who have no interest. Her book goes into detail on this subject. Her teaching are suitable for anyone marketing a product or service.
Tip 2. The biggest mistake people make when using social media to promote their business
Many people use their facebook profile to promote their products.
If you use social media like your facebook profile you don’t want to put your company name and everything about your product on your profile or posts. What people don’t realise is that it actually repels people from you. They see you as a sales person pushing a product. Since it immediately gets their guard up they dont look past that and consider the product. If they do consider the product they won’t be contacting you about it. They will just google the company or product and buy direct.
A better way is to share information without mentioning your company or product name. You can share product testimonials without mentioning your company or product name. This attracts people to you because they are curious. Not know what product you are talking about intrigues people and changes the physiology. Before you know it they are messaging you asking what product you are talking about.
Another mistake people make is use a poor choice of profile photo which actually repels people. Your photo will either attract or repel people. I am not saying your photo needs to make you look like a model, but you don’t want to put a picture of yourself guzzling alcohol if you promote health products. So really common sense applies.
I sometimes see people with no photo at all. I find this very unprofessional if you are a person using facebook for business and you have no photo.
Tip 3. Find out more about attraction marketing and how you can use it
Build a brand, be an influence, attract leads and ultimately more money.
Attraction Marketing’ is a marketing strategy that ATTRACTS customers and clients to you who already want to buy what you have to offer.
Drawing interest to a product or service using techniques that shows how it can improve one’s life is extremely effective. I think it is important that people try to understand this psychology.
People coming to you and asking about your product or business opportunity is attraction marketing. Above I gave some examples of how that works on facebook.
Not the company, the products or the comp plan.
All that is fantastic.
But remember, people don’t really buy all that stuff.
What they buy is YOUR leadership.
And YOUR credibility.
By branding yourself, you automatically gain the position of authority.
And people start flocking to you like a crowd of teenage girls packing out a Justin Bieber concert.” Frazer Brooks.
Essentially people are attracted to content that adds value. Ultimately you want to help them solve their problems.
To attract people you need content.
You can start with answering questions and answer objections, and build your initial content around this information.
You can create content around tips or information that attracts people to you. Content in the form of:
- Videos etc
Basically when creating content you need to add value.
Attraction marketing fails for most people because they are not consistent. It is very important to be consistent and remain committed. You need to stick to it, and remember it is a long term goal. If you spend 1 hour a day for a year you could become very successful. Think about that.
Tip 4. When writing your goals you must include these to achieve success.
To achieve success you definitely need daily disciplines. The daily activity that will ultimately take you to the goal. By focusing on these you will have much greater results as it is process focused rather than just focusing on the end goal.
Set clear goals then use an activity tracker to help you stay on track. High priority activities would include generating leads, following up and training team members.
Prioritise daily tasks that will help you reach your goal. The magic happens as a result of the compounding effect of the daily disciplines.

Make a commitment to contact one new person a day. After 30 days you have contacted 30 new people. Imagine if you did no work all month then one day you did. It would be very hard to connect with 30 people in a day. Physically it can be done, but mentally it can be draining. Ultimately it would not be as effective as breaking it down into daily tasks.
If you really want to explode your business you should consider daily disciplines to improve your mindset.
Jack Canfield has some great daily disciplines suggestions on his website. Such as: Ref
- Visualize your goals and intentions
- Use external images to keep you focused
- Release negative thoughts
- Cultivate an “attitude of gratitude”
- Acknowledge what’s working
Tip 5. Figure out what skills need improvement and then apply this framework to your activities

Learn and master skills. That it how we get good at anything. However skills development in our industry is the most important part of growing a massive business.
The great thing about this framework/process is that it enables us to refine our skills. We have an opportunity to learn from our mistakes. It enables us to get better and master any skill.
Most people in our industry plan and do, there is no review. Without reviewing results we really can’t work out how to make things better.
For any type of activity in network marketing we can apply this framework.

If you really apply this to your daily activities you will soon master a particular skill.
Let me give you an example. The first time I invited people to an event I didn’t get that may people. I thought about my approach and worked out it needs refining. So then I realised that if I gave them a task they would most likely come. Say if I asked them to help me serve product samples or help with the product display. Now they were more likely to show up, and it worked.
This is important because in Network Marketing it is not about how many contacts you have, not about natural talent or education it is all about skills. Developing skills will enable you to build a massive network marketing business.
