Pterostilbene is an antioxidant produced by berries such as blueberries, grapes, and cranberries to guard themselves against pathogenic damage caused by microorganisms like bacteria and fungi.
Antioxidants help to fight the effects of aging.
Researchers are now comparing Pterostilbene to Resveratrol, an active ingredient found in red grapes, which has been credited for the French Paradox phenomenon.
The French Paradox is a term that was coined in the 1980’s. It summarizes the paradoxical observation. That is the French despite eating a diet containing high levels of saturated fat and cholesterol have low rates of obesity and heart disease.
While this phenomena has been greatly attributed to their wine taking tradition, some researchers say that Pterostilbene has more advantages than Resveratrol.
This is due to the fact that while both Resveratrol, Pterostilbene are structurally similar, Pterostilbene is more bioavailable. This is because it contains two methoxy groups that make it more soluble. This means that it is easily transported into cells with a relatively low chance of elimination or degradation.
This is good because we don’t want it destroyed before it can benefit the body. So, in short it packs more of a punch.
Resveratrol does not have these methoxy groups and therefore, very little amounts of it are absorbed by the body.
In addition studies indicate that the bioavailability of Pterostilbene is 80% while that of Resveratrol is 20%. This is why Pterostilbene is far more popular than its counterpart.
Let’s talk about aging. Did you know that as we age we can increase our risk of chronic diseases such as alzheimer’s, heart disease, diabetes, neurological disorders, and cancer.
So anti aging is not just about looking younger, it means that ultimately our goal is to stay in good health for as long as possible.
When we are young, stem cells regenerate more rapidly, but as we age, stem cell regeneration slows down and as a result, tissue function also declines. Some Scientists theorize that consuming Pterostilbene may support your body to guard against agents that cause cellular damage and dysfunction. Since you cannot consume hundreds of berries each day, an alternative to ingest Pterostilbene is through supplementation.
There are dozens of supplements that contain this beneficial compound in the market today. Supplements that contains a fusion of powerful vitamins and minerals that can effectively support the body against the effects of aging.
Is Pterostilbene in the AGE Pill?
Yes, the AGE Pill does contain Pterostilbenes including several vitamins and minerals that supports health. In contains the right ingredients needed at optimal levels. But what makes the AGE Pill so powerful compared to any other anti aging supplements in the market is that it contains Pterostilbenes and a niacinamide riboside (NR) a form of vitamin B3.
So who do we improve overall health?
To improve your overall health, you body firstly need the right nutrients. But improved health goes beyond eating a balanced diet, you also need to exercise regularly.
However sometimes this is not enough. Doctors often prescribe certain vitamins and minerals to enhance a person’s health. This is done in higher concentrations when you are targeting a particular abnormality or disorder. This is why supplements have become so popular, but more so, what is contained in them.
The AGE Pill contains Niacinamide riboside and Pterostilbenes, two powerful compounds that when combined can really pack a punch. Studies show that Pterostilbene and NR have the potential to increase NAD+ levels. This in turn may support an increase energy levels and help the body function at its optimal.
In short, although we cannot stop aging, we can definitely try to slow it down. But don’t forget that no supplement works miracles.
