Who needs supplements?

Often I hear people ask “Who needs supplements?”

I hear it all the time if I eat a balanced diet I can get all the vitamins
and minerals I need from my diet.

According to research this type of thinking is missing the mark.

Living a long healthy life

Who needs supplements
Making a decision to live a long and healthy life is the most important part of longevity.

Well if you want true age reversal and to fight the effects of ageing
you will need to go above and beyond a healthy diet according to PubMed (Vitamins in aging health and longevity). There are plenty of studies showing supplementation is necessary for healthy aging. I invite you to research the topic for yourself.

Firstly 99% of people do not eat a balanced diet every single day. Furthermore, as we age our requirements for nutrients change because it requires more work to help the body fight the effects of aging namely decay. You begin to decay (go backwards) after the age of 25.

Think about a plant. Compare one grown in soil with the right nutrients added plus sun and water it and thrives. If it becomes deficient it dies.

As for us humans, the same applies. Supplements such as vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, phytochemicals enrich the body. This helps with protection, repair and regeneration of the human body. In other words it helps to fight the effects of aging.

Mother nature is brutal

Furthermore, Mother nature never cared about longevity. It’s about survival of the human species. We are very good at withstanding harsh environments and conditions and can continue on. But with what joy?

If we don’t figure stuff out mother nature sharpens her sword. Pretty brutal isn’t it? You only need to look at the animal kingdom and rough places on earth to come to that conclusion.

What can we do to support health and longevity?

So what can we do if we don’t want to just survive? What can we do if we want to live a long healthy life. The standard healthy diet won’t cut it, unless of course you have magical genetics.

Here is my personal high level steps to longevity:

  1. Decide you want to live a long life with good health
  2. Get adequate sleep
  3. Exercise daily
  4. Do things you love and are passionate about
  5. Set Goals
  6. Help others
  7. Eat a healthy diet
  8. Drink filtered water
  9. Take anti ageing supplements that are based on scientific research
  10. Look after your finances

Anti Aging Supplements

The anti aging supplements I would put top at the list would be:

I personally believe that without adding something extra you are not going to get extra out of life.

In conclusion

At the same time don’t skip the steps above and jump straight to supplements, because that won’t work by itself. It’s all about balance. Of course, some steps play more importance than others. The most import one of all that has the greatest bearing is number 1. Decide you want to live a long life with good health.
